Dino Melaye Threatens Sahara Reporters Founder

Senator Dino Melaye has threatened Sahara reporters founder.  Melaye who is at the forefront of a Social Media Bill that aims to remove the freedom of speech of Nigerian citizens fired a veiled threat to Sahara Reporters founder via his social media page..

The Senator from Kogi State threatened the founder of the New York based publication, saying if he should register his company in Nigeria, he will face jail term ‘longer than that of a monkey in the zoo’. I dare Sahara to register with corporate Affairs commission. Sowore's jail term will be longer than that of a monkey in the zoo. — Otunba Dino Melaye (@dino_melaye) December 6, 2015.

Though the barbaric Social Media Bill was sponsored by Senator Ibn Na’Allah of Kebbi State, Dino Melaye has been the one championing the bill on social media calling for the clamping of people’s right to free speech.

He has in particular called for the silencing of Sahara Reporters for false reporting, a news medium he was comfortable frolicking with when he was campaigning for the seat of Senator.
